Compare the space you will actually use

A catamaran has two hulls, but layouts and guest capacities differ from boat to boat. Look at the photos for the seating arrangement, shaded areas and deck space. Check the facilities on the listing and ask about anything important to your group.

Do not choose on maximum capacity alone. A family swimming day and a celebration with a larger group may need different layouts. Share the ages of children, your planned activities and any boarding needs when you enquire.

Match the route to the time onboard

Decide whether the priority is swimming, relaxing together or seeing a particular part of the coast. If you want to include Comino or the Blue Lagoon, mention that at the start so the operator can check the route against the departure point and charter duration.

Ask how the day is divided between travelling and stops, and whether the proposed trip involves sailing, motoring or both. Routes and time at each stop depend on the agreed charter and the conditions on the day.
